Rover 2

The document discusses rovers that are currently exploring Mars, noting that there have been 4 successful rovers sent to date with only 2 remaining active. It describes the materials rovers are made from and that they can operate autonomously or via remote control depending on conditions. Sensors on the rovers allow them to detect environmental factors on Mars by converting non-electrical inputs into electrical signals.

Rover 2.0
Today Rovers are used to explore Mars. They have now been on this Red
Planet exploring for almost 14 years. There has been till today 4 rovers
send to Mars that have been successfully landed. Now there is only 2
rovers left called Spirit and Opportunity. These rovers were send for the
purpose to see if there was life on that planet. These machines are made
of carbon composites, titanium, and aluminum. These rovers are
controlled by an onboard computer or controller. This process is called
autonomous. But it is not only controlled in autonomous mode but also in
remote control mode. To decide which type of controller they had to
choose they took in count many options like the type of weather it has,
terrain, and many other factors. Also, it will take a lot of time for a signal to
reach the rover and in that time, it could crash.
These types of rovers have sensors that can make non-electrical
conditions into electrical values. Like for example a door that is normal is
not electrical but when you put an alarm that tells you when someone is
coming in it is converted into electrical. This process is called transducers.
These sensors are really needed so the robot can feel, hear, and see

objects on Mars like its rocks, some type of liquid they can study etc.
