Conjunctions, linkers, phrases

Your personal opinion


Strangely enough, surprisingly enough, naturally, it is only natural that..., it goes without
saying that…, it can be taken for granted that…, it is a matter of fact…, strictly speaking, as
far as …is concerned…, in my opinion…, in my view…, it is right upto a point…,as for
me…, to my mind, if you ask me…, actually, in fact…, another way of lookig at the matter
is…, personally, I feel…, the way I see it…, I am convinced that…, in all probability/
likelihood, allegedly, so to speak, as it were, I suppose, I assume…, I daresay…

Giving evidence
As proof/ evidence we can refer to…, to back up my position I would like to refer to…,
according to…, bearing in mind that…, to quote an expression from…, what is implied
here…, it says in the text…, this shows clearly…

Listing arguments
Firstly…, secondly…, last but not least…,above all, what is more…, for one thing…for

Clarifying statements
That is to say…, in other words, to put it in another way, to put it in a nutshell…,what I mean

Concession

Contrasting statements
