Compass Use Practice

Group 3

Name _____________________________________ Date _________________

Due to your nervousness as a freshman at PVHS, you bring your compass along when
you tour the school to record the directions of travel. This way, if you get lost on your
first day, you can simply pull out your compass and navigate your schedule with ease.
Your schedule of classes is as follows:

1st Period: Mr. Esposito Rm. 33

2nd Period: Mr. Bizer Rm.36
3rd Period: Mr. Lamm Rm.32
4th Period: Mr. Langley Rm. 37
Lunch: Cafeteria
5th Period: Ms. Wilkerson Rm. 38
6th Period: Mr. Bristol Rm. 35
7th Period: Ms. Williams Rm. 34
8th Period: Mrs. Shepardson, Shop

Using your compass, and map record the directions you will travel and the degrees of
travel
You must show your map with the lines drawn and each path you take. Remember to find
“landmarks” and travel to those to get across the building when it's not a straight path.
