At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
1. enumerate the tools and materials used in LAN Cabling.
2. Identify the pin-assignment of CAT5e cross-over cable
3. Demonstrate how to crimp cross-over cable.

III. Procedure

a. Initial Preparation
 Prayer and roll call (checking of attendance)
b. Motivation
 Show pictures of computer games that uses the LAN Connection, ask some
questions after.
 The teacher will then secure the class to get ready by clapping his hands as a
start to have the attention of the students.
c. Lesson Proper
 Discussion Method using powerpoint presentation
 Give the learning objectives of the lesson
 Show tools and materials to be needed in performing cross-over cabling.
 Show the pin-assignment of cross-over cable.
 Site the uses of cross-over cable.
 Show steps on how to crimp cross-over cable.
 Testing of cable to LAN tester
d. Generalization
 The teacher will then give the generalization about the topic by asking few
ideas from the students.

 Paper and Pen


1. What are the tools and materials needed in performing LAN cabling?
2. Identify the pin-assignment of CAT5 cross-over cable?
3. Write the steps in performing cross-over cable?

 Demonstration
 The student will be given points on their demonstration. Attached is the
rubric that will identify their scores which is agreed in the class.

V. Assignment/Agreement
 The students will study and research on Fiber optic splicing and installation
requirements.
