 P e o p l e w h o w i s h t o pr o v i d e f o r t h e i r d e p e n d a n t s h u g e
sums at comparatively low contribution as premium can
t a k e t h i s p o l i c y. U n d e r t hi s p l a n a n i n d i v i d u a l g e t s l i f e
coverage for almost whole of his life.

Salient Features

 Sum assured is payable only on the death of the life


assured.
 Premiums have to be paid for 35 years or till age 80
years whichever is more.

 Limited payment whole life


Suitability

 I n d i v i d u a l s w h o w i s h t o pr o v i d e f o r t h e i r d e p e n d a n t s ,

This plan of assurance is designed to meet the needs of those


w h o a r e i n i t i a l l y u n a b l e t o p a y t h e l a rg e r p r e m i u m r e q ui r e d
f or a W h o l e L i f e or E n d o w m e n t A s s u r a n c e P o l i c y, b u t h o p e
to be able to pay for such a policy in the near future.

This plan would be found useful also in cases where it is


desired to leave the final decision as to the plan to a later
date when, perhaps a better choice could be made.

P o l i c y h o l d e r s g e t a n o pt i o n o f c o n v e r t i n g a n p o l i c y i n t o
e n d o w m e n t a s s u r a n c e or l i m i t e d p a y m e n t w h o l e l i f e
assurance.

and unearned incomes under Category II, basically Standard

earlier will payable at the end of the endowment term

may think most suitable at that time.

a ff o r d a b l e p r e m i um . T h i s p o l i c y i s s u i t a b l e f o r a l l
c a t e g o r i e s of p e o p l e .

 An Endowment Assurance policy with the facility to


pay higher premiums initially and smaller amounts in
later years. The plan has been designed to meet the
n e e d s o f p er s o n s w h o h a v e s h o r t s p a n of e a r n i n g s . F o r
e x a m p l e , f i l m a r t i s t s a n d o t h er s u c h p r of e s s i o n a l s
w h o s e i n c o m e s dr o p s u b s t a n t i a l l y m a y f i n d t h i s p l a n
suitable.

It also comes with a built-in accident benefit.
 T h i s p o l i c y i s m o s t s u i t a b l e f o r p er s o n s w h o ar e n o t
s u r e of a r e g u l a r i n c o m e e v e r y y e a r a n d w h o e x p e c t
their income position to improve after a short while.

5. Even though LIC claims to have taken several


i n i t i a t i v e s i n t h e I T s e c t o r, p o l i c y h o l d e r s s t i l l f a c e
problems in revival of their policies, payment of
premium in several branches, change of mode, change
o f a d d r e s s , e t c . t h e a f t e r- s a l e s p o l i c y s e r v i c e s
departments need to be revamped, policyholders feel
t h a t L I C a g e n t s ar e h u m b l e w h i l e s e l l i n g a p o l i c y a n d
thereafter they fail to provide any service to the client.

i m a g e o f L I C i n t h e m i n d o f t h e p o l i c y h o l d e r.

To d a y L I C i s n o t j u s t a n i n s u r a n c e c o m p a n y, L I C i s a
movement. LIC is a cult, LIC is a religion. Imagine 10lac
agents and 1lac employees serving 16crore policyholders in
