Research Questions

The objectives of the research are to: 1) identify legal provisions for maintaining standards in child care institutions, 2) compare empirical observations of institutions to these provisions, 3) study gaps and challenges in meeting standards, and 4) recommend solutions to address gaps and challenges. The hypothesis is that institutions follow standards as outlined in the Juvenile Justice Act and state rules. INTRODUCTION

OBJECTIVES OF THE RESEARCH:-

1. The objectives of the research is to identify the legal provision relating to the
maintenance of the standards in the Child Care Institution
2. The aim of the research work is to make a tabular observation comparing the
empirically observation of the working of the Child Care Institution and the provision
relating to the standards to be maintained in Child Care Institution
3. The aim of the research work is to study the gaps and challenges relating to the
standards of Child Care Institution
4. The objective of the research work is to recommend & suggest the solution of the
gaps & challenge in maintaining the standards of Child Care Institution.

HYPOTHESIS OF THE RESEARCH WORK:-

1. The Child Care Institution follow the provisions which has been enshrined in Juvenile
Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and Bihar Juvenile Justice (Care
and Protection of Children) Rules, 2017 for maintaining Standards of Care in Child
Care Institution.

RESEARCH QUESTION:-

1. Whether the provision relating to the Standards of Care in Child Care Institution as
enshrined under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and
Bihar Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rules, 2017 is followed by
the Child Care Institution in letter & in spirit?
