LESSON DEVELOPMENT : ACTIVITY 1:
1. Pupils refer to the picture on the right-hand side on page 6 and generate
10 words related to family relation in one minute.
2. Pupils compare their answers with their shoulder partners.

3. Pupils read the definition in the ''Word Focus" and explain the meaning to
the class using their own words.
4. Pupils read instruction B and list three ways on how they can learn about
their family's past. Three selected students write down three ways that they
have listed in a tree map on the whiteboard.
5. Pupils skim read the text to check or add up the ways they can learn about
their family.

6. Pupils read the text again and match the headings A, B and C to the correct
sections numbered 1 - 4.
