This method statement outlines the condfasdfasstruction methodology for building block works.

REFERENCES
1. Qatar national building specification-section 6,block works
2. Project specification –section 04811-concrete mansonary unit assemble

SAFETY
1. Personal protective equipment such as, safety, shoes, hardhat, hand gloves, etc shall be worn at
all the times.
2. Proper access to the work area shall be maintained throughout the working period.
3. Any surplus material that is left over shall be removed from site immediately.
4. Scaffolds erected for the purpose of blocks work construction shall be to the project safety
standard.
5. Standard scaffolds or platforms.
6. Unstable 0bject such as barrels, boxes, loose bricks or concrete blocks shall not be used to
support scaffolds or planks.
7. Scaffolds shall not be over loaded with blocks.
8. Whenever blocks are shifted with cranes,lifting regulations inj regard to crane
Capacity, lifting gears, crane positioning, signaling, and etc.shall be followed.

MATERIAL
1 .Shop drawings will be submitted and approved prior to start of works.
Meeting will be held with concerned personnel prior to commence of works and regular
Weekly meeting will be held with installers.
Material delivery note will be submitted when material is received on site.
Sample will be sent for testing by independent test laboratory and result s submitted in due
Course.
Block
Block shall be from an approved supplier.Unloading shall be by hand or mechanical means.
