The Doctrine of God the Father

I. He Is the Father of All Life (Ps. 19:1; 36:9; 148:2-5; Jn. 5:26; Acts 17:24-25; Eph. 4:17-18).
A. He tends and cares for vegetation (Ps. 104:14, 16; Mt. 6:28-30).
B. He tends and cares for brute nature (Ps. 104:14, 16, 18, 20-21, 27; Mt. 6:26; 10:29).
C. He tends and cares for the weather (Ps. 135:6-7; 147:8, 16, 18; 148:8).
D. He tends and cares for the seasons (Gen. 8:22; Acts 14:17).

II. He Is the Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ.


A. The Father sent his Son (Jn. 3:16; 6:57; 8:16, 18; 12:49; 20:21; Gal. 4:4; 1 Jn. 4:14).
B. The Father commanded the angels to worship his Son (Heb. 1:6; Lk. 2:8-15).
C. He sealed his Son (Jn. 5:26-27).
D. He honored (and honors) his Son (Jn. 8:54).
E. He bore witness to his Son (Jn. 8:18).
F. He loved (and loves) his Son (Jn. 10:17).
G. He glorified his Son (Jn. 12:27-28; 17:1, 5).
H. He taught his Son (Jn. 8:28).
I. He anointed his Son (Lk. 4:16-21; Jn. 3:34).
J. He delighted in his Son (Isa. 42:1; Mt. 3:17; 17:5; 2 Pet. 1:17).

M He was totally satisfied by his Son (Jn. 8:29).

D. He gave all the elected believers to Christ (Jn. 6:37, 44; 10:29; 13:3).
E. He called the believer (Rom. 8:30).
F. He conforms the believer to the image of Christ (Rom. 8:29).
G. He redeemed the believer (Eph. 1:7).
H. He justified the believer (Rom. 8:33).
I. He indwells the believer (Jn. 14:23).
J. He sealed the believer with the Holy Spirit (Eph. 1:13; 4:30).
K. He keeps the believer (Jn. 10:29; 17:11).
L. He honors the believer (Jn. 12:26).
M. He blesses the believer (Eph. 1:3).
N. He loves the believer (2 Thess. 2:16; Jn. 14:21; 15:27).
O. He comforts the believer (2 Cor. 1:3; Rev. 21:4; 2 Thess. 2:16).
P. He sanctifies the believer (Jude 1; Jn. 17:17).

X. He will someday gather all believers in Christ (Eph. 1:10).
