Logo Transformations

This document provides instructions for an investigation of logo transformations. Students are asked to find logos using translations, reflections, or rotations, copy them into a Pic Collage and identify the transformation type. Students also plot one logo on a graph and record coordinates, then create their own transformation questions for each type of transformation.

Transformations:

Logo investigation

1. Find different logos that use each of the types of transformations learned
in class (translation, reflection or rotation).

2. Copy and paste the logos into a Pic Collage, then identify and describe the
type/s of transformation used.

3. Plot one logo on a single quadrant graph and record each coordinate point.

Then create own transformation questions for each type of transformation.

For example:
o Translate 6 units up and 4 units right
o Reflect across line x = 6
o Rotate 90° counter clockwise around (10, 15)
