What is CIO?
Chief Information Officer or Executive Supervisor of Information Technology Responsible for creating an Information Technology Strategy for the organization in cooperation with the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) who creates/defines a Business Strategy of the organization
Why do we need CIO?
In an Information Technology world, cooperation between CEO and CIO will lead to success of the organization Business Strategy + Information Technology Strategy = Organizations Success
Why do we need CIO?
IT is a vital key in managing and organizing business procedures in the organization CEO alone can not bring success to the organization

Create IT strategy with relevant to business strategy and build Information Management or Software Systems according to the IT strategy ==> the original role of CIO 2. Define new and feasible IT and business strategies since introducing IT to the organization reengineers its structure or creates a new business strategy ==> CTO (Chief Technology Officer)
