Integrated cotton yarn spinning mill Target production of 15000 spindles Located in Ludhiana

Spinning in conversion of fibers into yarn. These fibers can be natural fibers (cotton) or manmade fibers (polyester) Final product of spinning is yarn. Spinning is the foundation process and all the subsequent value additions i.e. Weaving, Knitting, Processing, Garments and Made ups, depend upon it.

Ultimately, the crunch lies in the infusion of hitech, state-of-the-art machinery that aids in the production of high quality 100% combed yarn.

The main raw material for the spinning process is Ginned cotton will be available in Bales of 170 Kgs/bale.

The textile industry in Ludhiana makes use of both natural fibers like cotton, silk, jute and wool and artificial fibers such as polyester, viscose, nylon, acrylic and blended fibers.

Cotton which is in the form bales is fed to blow room followed by various operations like carding and combing depends on the requirement. The final yarn of required specifications are met through various operations and winded.

The manpower requirement is considered at 185 personnel for various level like Spinning master, Accountants, casual labors, Technical & Supervisory staff and administrative staff.

The Plant & Machinery required for the Spinning Mill process for manufacturing yarn of different counts are:Blow room machinery Metal detection system Carding machines Card accessories Draw frame (Finisher & Breaker)

The investment for setting up a spinning mill with : Capacity 10000 spindles works out to Rs.19 Crores. Land requirement 2.5 acres.

Preliminary & Pre-operative expense 1.36 crores. Plant & Machinery, erecting & transportation -16.91 Crores. Buildings and civil works 6.55 Crores. Margin money for working capital 1.60 Crores.

Accounts for around 4% of GDP 14% of the industrial production

17% of the countrys total export earnings.
