What is a small-scale company?
A small scale business can be a an enterprise
engaging in small scale industries like R&D,
manufacturing or cottage industries.
The number of employees or workers varies
from one country to another.
Most of these are privately owned and
operated, where sales turnover are low.

that he started 16 years ago is a case study
in itself.
How does Dial a Meal work?
Home delivery of food from a particular restaurant to
the customers place.
The customer has to pay a nominal rate based on the
distance of the hotel from the location of delivery, along
with the meal tariff.
From sending a lunch box to school students to
preparing dinner or lunch for travellers.
Today his firm delivers over 50 orders per day.
He has over 20 delivery boys working under him with
branches of Dial a Meal at Banjara Hills, Hitec City and
Gachibowli, with another coming up at Kukatpally.

Chandubhai Virani Balaji
Wafers
The story started in 1972, when Virani and his brothers
Bhikhubhai, Chandubhai, Kanubhai and Meghjibhai
migrated from a small village in Jamnagar district to
Rajkot.
Chandubhai Virani and his brothers started wafer
business from a canteen of a cinema hall in Rajkot in
1974.
By the overwhelming retail success they inspired to set a
semi automatic plant.
Instead of preparing wafers by the traditional frying
method this semi automatic plant boosted the quality,
taste and more sales also.
Achievements
Balaji Group More than 200 loyal
customers(Wholesalers).
Economic Time recognized Balaji Group as 'Sultan of
Wafers'
International magazine i.e. Asia Pacific food online
published a special article with 'Chip Off the Old Block'
tag.
Balaji Group is also a member of Snacks Food Association

Virani

We used to go on bike, in rickshaw
to sell our wafers, that gave us
practical experience of the market
N K Chaudhary - Jaipur Rugs
The carpet weaving in the Indian knotted carpet industry
used to take place through middlemen.
These middlemen used to exploit the artisans by not
paying them amounts commensurate to their art. N. K.
Chaudhary through his formative years wanted to change
this scenario.
Hence he established the social business model of Jaipur
Rugs, connecting the poor weavers with the global
markets.
In 1978, he initiated his carpet business operations with
just two looms and 9 artisans

Observing the Master at work, I too
became the Master.
Uneducated people have a different kind
of talent, wisdom and experience.

Even if you suffer a loss, focus on what

If you passionately want to do something, then do it, be
someone create your own identity, it will happen.
