Enterprise System are the large scale application software packages


that support business processes, information flows, reporting and data
analytics in complex organizations.

Enterprise System allow for collaboration and communication across


the organisation through collection of data that is accessible and usable
by multiple departments.

e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, SAP

Enterprise Resource Planning

The ERP system integrates software applications just as a company


integrates business processes, such as purchasing, finance, human
resources and inventory management.

ERPs are the first generation of enterprise system whose goal was to
integrate data across all the major functions of the organizations.

ERPs integrates both the various functional aspects of the organisation


as well as the systems with in the organisation.
