ROUTER
• A device that performs the functions of
a router and also includes the functions of a
wireless access point. It is used to provide
access to the Internet or a private computer
network.
ROUTER
• The main purpose of a router is to connect
multiple networks and forward packets
destined either for its own networks or other
networks. A router is considered a layer-3
device because its primary forwarding
decision is based on the information in the
layer-3 IP packet, specifically the destination
IP address.
SSID
• Wireless Network Name - Enter a value
of up to 32 characters. The same Name
(SSID) must be assigned to all wireless
devices in your network.
• Enable SSID Broadcast - If you select
the Enable SSID Broadcast checkbox,
the wireless router will broadcast its name
(SSID) on the air.
