                   INTRODUCTION
 Modernization only symbolizes a process of change.
  Modernization is a process which indicates the adoption of the
  modern ways of life and values.
 Earlier the term was only used to refer to- change in economy
  and its related effect on the social values and practices.
 It is a process which changed the society, from primarily
  agrarian economic model to the primarily industrial economy.
  As a result of the change in the economy, the society itself
  underwent changes in values, beliefs and norms.
 Modernization is an attempt on the part of society,
  particularly those people who are custom bound, to adopt
  themselves to the present time (changed times), conditions,
  styles,tastes,choices etc. It is a social change involving
  the elements of science and technology.
IMPACT ON CULTURE AND SOCIAL SYSTEMS
 INTRODUCTION OF WESTERN INSTITUTIONS LIKE BANKING SYSTEMS,
  LAWS ,PUBLIC ADMINSTRATIONS IN INDIA.
 Western education broadened the outlook of the people who started talking of
  their rights and freedom. The introduction of the new values, the rational and
  secular spirit, and the ideologies of individualism, equality and justice assumed
  great importance.
 The introduction of the modern means of communication, such as railway and
  bus travel, postal service, air and sea travel, press, and radio and television
  have affected man’s life in varied respects.
 There is rise in the feeling of nationalism.
 our technology, agriculture, entrepreneurship and industry were modernised
  leading to the economic well-being of our country.
             Spheres of modernization
Economic sphere
(a) Development in technology.
(b) Specialization in economic role.
(c) Scope for saving and investment.
(d) Expansion of market (from local to international)
Political sphere
(a)Declining of traditional rulers.
(b) Formulation of ideology for the rulers to handle the power.
(c) Decentralization of power among the members of the society. Scope must be
   provided to all to participate in the decision making process.
Cultural sphere
(a) Growing differentiation among the major elements of culture like religion,
    philosophy and science.
(b) Spread of literacy and secular education.
(c) Introduction of complex institutional system for the advancement of specialized
roles.
(d) Expansion of media communication.
(e) Development of new cultural elements based on:
(i) Progress and improvement.
(ii) Expression on ability.
(iii) Emphasis on dignity of the individual and his efficiency.
           Advantages of Modernization
1.   Smooth and advance life style with latest enjoyment.
2.   It provides you the opportunity to gain knowledge.
3. You can survive in any condition. It increases the survivability power.
4.   It helps you to establish yourself in a good position.
5. It gives you higher place in the society.
6. it provides you opportunity to earn money.
                        Disadvantages
1.It involves more financial requirement.
2. The mental peace disappears.
3. everyday the life is modernized so to keep update with this is very difficult.
4. It damages the good values of the life.
5. It is very harmful for nature.
6. The life became artificial, human acts like a rbot.
7. It kills the humanity feelings of human.
