Caregiver Presentation

Caitlin Donahue's internship project focused on caregivers in the workforce. She found that 41 million Americans act as caregivers while also working, which can negatively impact their jobs through lost hours, benefits or jobs. Caregiving is also mentally and physically stressful. Her presentation provided tips for balancing work and caregiving responsibilities and discussed the Family Medical Leave Act, which provides unpaid leave for certain workers to care for family members.
