STUDENT INFORMATION PORTAL AND
RFID-FINGERPRINT AUTOMATED SYSTEM
INTRODUCTION
• Utilizing information and technological advances established this
innovative system that improves and increases efficiency, accuracy,
security, and convenience in the school.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
• Traditional ways of accessing information and enlisting for attendance
as students enter the school are being applied and these take time.
Inaccuracy also is a factor which makes the process of each student
requires more time and effort which can also lead to lost of interest
and even miscommunication.
PURPOSE
• The purpose of this research is to provide a student – friendly Student
Information Portal and RFID – Fingerprint Automated System that
provides convenience and better security to students.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
• This research re‐affirms the fast development of information and
technology and its utilization. Associating it not only with education but
also for a more comfortable and extraordinary environment of the
students in the school will trigger and enable innovation. It will
contribute to the school’s edges together with providing exceptional
education.
RESEARCH QUESTIONS AND
HYPOTHESES
THE STUDENT INFORMATION PORTAL IS A WEB-BASED SYSTEM WHERE STUDENTS CAN
ACCESS INFORMATION SUCH AS FOR ENROLLMENT, ANNOUNCEMENTS, AND ACADEMIC
RECORDS. THIS COMES WITH A RFID – FINGERPRINT AUTOMATED SYSTEM WHEREIN
STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO ACCURATELY AND QUICKLY MONITOR AND ENLIST
THEMSELVES FOR THEIR DAY-TO-DAY ATTENDANCE AS THEY ENTER THE SCHOOL.
1) HOW DOES THE STUDENT INFORMATION PORTAL
PROVIDE MORE ACCURATE AND MOST CONVENIENT
WAY OF ACCESSING INFORMATION TO STUDENTS?
H:
• The Student Information Portal is a web-based system that is
available and accessible anytime and anyplace. The students will be
able to access the information they need anywhere without making
the effort to go to school. Examples of these information are
announcements, enrollment, requirements, subjects, grades, and
other academic information.
2). HOW DOES THE RFID – FINGERPRINT AUTOMATED
SYSTEM PROVIDE FASTER AND EASIER MONITORING AND
ENLISTMENT IN THE DAY-TO-DAY ATTENDANCE OF
STUDENTS?
H:
• Every time a student enters the school must be recognized and
recorded. This would provide more accurate records and security. The
RFID is a faster way of enlisting which takes less time because it only
requires a tap. The fingerprint scanner is for a greater convenience if
the RFID is absent.
