Causes of Gasket Leakage
• Wrong Gasket selection

• Insufficient Tightening

• Non -Uniform Tightening

• Thermal stress across the fasteners –Thermal expansion or contraction

• Thermal Shock

• Over pressurization

• Tube to Tube Sheet leakage

• Difference in height of pass partition and tube sheet sealing surface

• Air in the liquid line ( Process line/ Steam line / Water line etc. is not

Leakage Testing Procedure

Blind Inlets-Outlets at Disconnect and remove

Disconnect and remove Install the bundle puller
