Pollution: Pollution Is The Proces of Making Air, Water and Other Parts of The Environment Dirty and Not Safe To Use

Pollution is making the air, water, and environment dirty and unsafe. It causes significant damage to the Earth and human health. There are several types of pollution including land, air, water, noise, visual, and light pollution. Land pollution results from dumping garbage and waste, contaminating the soil and affecting agriculture, plants, and animals. Air pollution comes from sources like vehicles, industry, and fires, causing diseases. Water pollution contaminates rivers and leads to health issues. Noise, light, and visual pollution impair quality of life and can cause accidents. Pollution is one of the leading global causes of death and effective solutions are needed to address this serious problem.

POLLUTION

Pollution is the proces of making air, water and other parts of the
environment dirty and not safe to use.
Because of the pollution, the Earth suffer a lot of damage and I think
people are the only reason for that. For example, in some of the world’s
worst polluted places, babies are born with birth defects, children have
lost 30 or 40 IQ points, and life expectancy may be as low as 45 years
because of cancers and other diseases.
TYPES OF POLLUTION
1. LAND POLLUTION
2. AIR POLLUTION
3. WATER POLLUTION
4. NOISE POLLUTION
5. VISUAL POLUUTION
6. LIGHT POLLUTION
1. LAND POLLUTION
Land pollution is a result of dumping garbage, EFFECTS:
waste, and other toxins making the land contaminated • THE LAND CANNOT USE TO BUILD
or polluted. The source of land pollution comes from HOUSES
the humans actions. Another factor contributing to • MAN CANNOT BE FARMING
this type of pollution is acid rain. • GROUND WATER WILL GETS
AFFECTED
This type of pollution affects agriculture so the plants • DEATH OF THE ANIMALS THAT
and animals can die in large numbers and short time. INHABIT THE LAND
Causes:
HOW TO AVOID LAND POLLUTION:
• Household garbage • GOOD AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES
• Municipal solid waste • REMEDIATION OF POLLUTED SOILS
• PREVENTION OF EROSION AND SILTING
• Uncontrolled land treatment • TREES SHOULD BE PLANTED EVERYWHERE
• Burning open dumps and forest fires • MORE AND MORE LAND SHOULD BE BROUGHT
UNDER FARMING.
2.AIR POLLUTION
The Earth is surrounded by a blanket of air called the atmosphere. The
atmosphere helps protect the Earth and allow life to exist. Without it we
would be burned by the intense heat of the sun during the day or frozen
by the low temperatures at night.
So, air pollution is contamination of the indoor or outdoor enviroment by
any chemical, physical or biological agent that modifies the natural
characteristics of the atmosphre.
HOW TO AVOID AIR POLLUTION
SOURCES OF AIR POLLUTION • USE NATURAL GASES
• Household combustion devices • USE LESS AMOUNT OF FUEL FOR
VEHICLES
• Motor vehicles • AVOID USING ELECTRIC STOVES(BIO
GAS)
• Industrial facilities
• Forest fires
3.WATER POLLUTION
The contamination of water with
HOW TO AVOID WATER POLLUTION
undesirable substances which make it unfit • RIVERS SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR WASHING
for usage is termed WATER POLLUTION. CLOTHES OR BATHING ANIMALS IN.
• THE RIVERS MUST NOT BE CONTAMINATED.
Causes: • THE DEAD BODIES SHOULD NOT THROWN IN
• By organic and inorganic industrial wastes WATER.
and affluents discharged into rivers.
Efects:
• Diseases
• Acvatic life gets destroyed
4.NOISE POLLUTION
Noise pollution can be simply HOW TO AVOID NOISE POLLUTION
• AIRPORTS MUST BE AWAY FROM RESIDENTIAL
defined as unwanted sound. AREA
• ISOLATION OR USE OF BAFFLES
CAUSES OF NOISE POLLUTION: • USE OF EAR PROTECTION DEVICES
• Traffic noise • CONTROL NOISE AT SOURCE

• Aircraft noise
• Noise from construction and civil EFFECTS OF NOISE POLLUTION:
engineering works • HEARING LOSS
• HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
• Noise from the Industries • STRESS
• Noise from other sources. • SLEEP DISTURBANCE
• COLOUR BLINDNESS
5.VISUAL POLLUTION
Visual pollution can be defined as the impairment of EFFECTS:
the view of an individual due to environmental and • LOWER QUALITY OF LIFE
man-made factors. Visual pollution can come in many • MENTAL ISSUES
forms, most of which are caused by human actions. • EYES PROBLEMS
CAUSES: • DISTRACTION
• Plastic pollution • ACCIDENTS
• Buildings • EFFECTS ON FLORA AND FAUNA
• Antennas
• Vandalism SOLUTION:
• AVOID WASTE
• Natural causes
PRODUCTION
• Air travel • REDUCE THE USE OF
• Light pollution CARS
• USE PUBLIC TRANSPORT
OR BICYCLE
• EDUCATION
6.LIGHT POLLUTION
Most people can’t imagine living without the modern convenience of
electric lights. For the natural world have changed the way that days
and nights work.
Consequences of light pollution are:
• Some birds sing at unnatural hours in the presence of artificial light
• Light pollution, called sky glow, also makes it difficult for astronomers,
both prifessional and amateur, to properly see the stars
• Eyes problems
WE CAN STOP IT IF WE JUST TURNING OFF A FEW OF LIGHTS.
POLLUTION MAP
POLLUTION FACTS
• Pollution is one of the biggest global killer, affecting over 100 milion people
• Cleanups can save animals lives and discourage people from littering in the
future
• Over 1 milion seabirds and 100,000 sea mammals are killed by pollution every
year
• About 7 milion premature deaths annually linked to air pollution.
• More than 1 bilion people worldwide don’t have access to safe drinking water
• 5000 people die every day as a result of drinking unclean water
• China is the world’s largest producer of carbon dioxide. The United States is
number 2.
