DISCUSSION BOARD #2
THE UNEVEN GEOGRAPHIES OF TOURISM
To fulfill this assignment, you will need to think of a specific type of uneven geographies (e.g. political,
economic, cultural, environmental) and find an example that illustrates the argument about uneven
geographies you want to make.
The structure of your original post should be:
• 1st paragraph: Description of the tourism example you want to focus on. (If you are drawing from
your own experience, that is great. If you are drawing from a newspaper article or other source, be
sure to cite the source.)
• 2nd paragraph: Define uneven geographies in your own terms in relation to the aspect you are going
to be focusing on (political, economic, cultural, environmental, etc.). Then offer a brief analysis of
how your example illustrates the creation and/or perpetuation of uneven geographies.
