INTRODUCTION

COMMUNICATION: Communication is
an exchange of facts, ideas, opinions or
emotions by two or more persons.

Communication is defined as the process


of passing information & understanding
from one person to another.
Effective Communication

essential for the organization. Whatsoever
the form-letter, memorandums, report-it may
take, whatsoever the medians it may use, it has
to be made effective by following certain
scientific principles.
7Cs OF COMMUNICATION

1.Candid..
2.Clear..
3.Complete..
4.Concise..
5.Concrete..
6.Correct..
7.Courteous..
1.Candid:To make communication
effective, It is most imperative that the
message should be frank & straight
forward. It must not be indirect or untrue.
2.Clear:The message to be communicated
whether oral or written should be clear.
For this, not only clarity of expression is
must, but also clarity of thought. It is the
first & foremost requirement. Clear
message always stems from clear minds &
clear hearts.
3. Complete: Completeness is necessary
for effective communication. Incomplete
message breads misunderstanding &
misinterpretations, leads to further queries
resulting into wastage of time &
resources, & irritates the receiver.
4.Concise: To attain the attention as well
as to save the time the message should be
concise. Conciseness means conveying
the message in fewest possible words
without sacrificing its completeness &
clarity.
5.Concrete: The communicated statement
should not be vague, rather should be
concrete specific. Concrete expressions
create specific visual images in mind of
the receiver which vague or generalised
statements cannot.
6.Correct:The message to be communicated
Should be correct in spelling, grammar format,
contents, statistical information, etc. Incorrect &
inaccurate statements mislead the reader, lower
his confidence in the communicator & tarnish
the image of the organization.
7.Courteous:congeniel & healthy
communication environment is essential to
ensure the effectiveness of
communication. Courtesy, in the message
as well as manner, plays dominating role
in the regard.
