Jose Rizal Did Not Retract?

Baron Fernandez discovered 34 documents from Spain including letters and military documents related to Jose Rizal's execution. One document was a letter from Rizal to his sister before his death denying that he retracted his beliefs, as the friars had claimed. Manuel Morata confirmed in a newspaper that Rizal never retracted, despite the fake retraction published by friars. There is evidence the retraction document's handwriting does not match Rizal's, eyewitnesses said it was fake, and his last letter did not refer to Josephine as his wife.
