This study aimed to identify the factors causing absenteeism among high school students in Bangan Oda National High School. The researchers found that household chores, bullying, and financial issues were the top factors influencing student absenteeism. The study also identified school cleanliness, student disagreements, and lack of organization as problems leading to absenteeism. Parents, students, teachers, and administrators had differing views on the causes, with family problems and bullying seen as the highest factors. Recommendations included improving parental awareness, reducing online game use, increasing peer and family support, establishing anti-bullying policies, and improving school organization and cleanliness.

Research Gap
This study research gap is all about
factors causing absenteeism among high
school students of Bangan Oda National
High School. Compare to other study,
they didn’t consider the school problems
as a cause of absenteeism. We found out
that there were problems in school that
cause for their being absent.

jobs nor works.
Research Questions
What
1. are the factors that cause absenteeism among secondary
school students of Bangan Oda National High school?

significantly different perspectives on the causes of
absenteeism?
Summary of the Results
The goal of this study was to know the different factors are causing
absenteeism among High School Students. This study employed a
quantitative research strategy in order to address the study’s specific
problem.

The following are the findings:

1. Students indicated the causes influencing high school


students' absence. Out of the 12 categories that researchers
provided, household chores ranked as the number one cause, with
a mean average value of 3.73. The lowest causes, which both
included 3.48 on the mean average, were boring subject and difficult
subject.
2. Researchers also discussed the problems that
leads to students being absent, which respondents
considered that the Students Disagreements tends the
highest common problem that contains 3.67 on the mean
average.

3. Researchers also found out that parents, students,


teachers, and administrators had some very varied
viewpoints on the matter. Bully classmate was determined
as the highest factor and it contain 3.82 on the mean
average. School organization was found out Disagree
with the value of 3.40 on the mean average.
CONCLUSION
 1. The determined factor causing absenteeism among the
students were household chores, bullying, financial issues, a
lack of friends, online games, an excessive amount of
homework, being far from school, communication issues,
school activities, school policies, boring or challenging
coursework, and distance from school.
 2. The problems lead for being absent were cleanliness,
student’s disagreement, school organization and lack of
ventilation. 

 3. The perspectives identified are cause by family problem,


bully classmate, terror teacher, unsupportive relatives, peer
RECOMMENDATION

 Based on the findings obtained from the study, the


following suggestions are made:

1. The parents must know that their


children absent themselves because of
what chores they are doing in house.
2. The parents should also know that family
problem is one of the biggest causes why
their children do not go to school.
1. The students must know that online games
can affect their attendance in school.
2. The relatives or guardians must be
supportive to make students more inspired
and motivated.
3. School must make a rule for students bully
to avoid bullying nor must students’
conflict and students be friendly.
4. School must create school policies on bully
students
