Problem Statement
The rise of automation, along with increased
             computational power and improved accessibility
to data, have resulted in the birth of the personal
digital assistant market. Users find it convenient
to speak rather type what they want. The voice
assistant makes it easier to serve this purpose.
Introduction
A voice assistant is a digital assistant that uses voice recognition
features and language processing algorithms to recognize voice
commands of user and perform relevant tasks as requested by the user.
Based on specific commands given by the user a voice assistant is
capable of filtering out the ambient noise and return relevant
information. Voice Assistant are completely software based but
nowadays they are integrated in different devices and also some of the
assistants are designed specifically for single devices like Alexa , Google
assistant, Siri etc .
Objectives
             1. To provide more convenience to users
             2. To provide faster and tailored resolutions
             3. To get precise and accurate results about the query
             4. To lower the cost of businesses
Technical
Compatibility
Voice assistants that boast broad compatibility gives
us a seamless control over disparate technology, and,
by extension, over the comfort and security of your
laptops. It takes a major platform with a broad range
of compatibilities to create a truly worthwhile voice
assistant. Other, lesser-known options exist, but can't
compete when it comes to controlling devices or
                responding to queries.
And our ‘Devid’ Voice Assistant try to make things
simple by taking the required input from user from
speech and changing it into text and show the
                valuable output.
Social Aspect
The ease of commanding the system just by speaking
serves greatly to the sections of the society suffering
from physical disabilities. In addition to that, consumer
awareness regarding the voice devices expands greatly.
However, some of them are concerned about the fact
that there might be some kind of a compromise in the
user privacy. Though a large section of the aged people
tend to lean towards speaking rather than typing.
Limitations
     1. The burden of the database involved while
        executing the tasks offline
     2. Recognising the speech when spelled
        speedily
     3. Repeated activation, though not very often,
comes in the way, wherein user hasn’t
        requested the same
Future Work
    1. Devid will soon be ready to hear, identify
slangs & execute just in case if you pour out
anger or even just for fun!
    2. The active noise cancellation feature is going
to be added, so as to provide much more ease
       to the users
Conclusion
In this presentation we have discussed a Voice Assistant developed using python.
This assistant currently works as an application based and performs basic tasks like
weather updates, stream music, search Wikipedia, open applications, etc. The
functionality of the current system is limited to working on application based only.
The upcoming updates of this assistant will have machine learning incorporated in
the system which will result in better suggestions with IoT to control the nearby
devices similar to what Amazon’s Alexa does
