PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST
What is put first
things first?
• Put first things first it’s all about
learning to prioritize and manage your
time so that your first things come first,
not last. And also deals with learning to
overcome your fears and being strong
during hard moments.
PACKING MORE INTO OUR LIFE
Two primary ingredients, “important” and
“urgent” :
• Important – your most important things, your first
things, activities that contribute to your mission
and goals.
• Urgent – pressing things, in-your-face things,
activities that demand immediate attention.
The Time Quadrants
URGENT NOT URGENT
1) THE PROCRASTINATOR 2) THE PRIORITIZER
IMPORTANT • EXAM TOMMOROW • PLANNING, GOAL SETTING
• FRIENDS GET INJURED • ESSAY DUE IN WEEK
• LATE FOR WORK • EXERCISE
• PROJECT DUE TODAY • RELATIONSHIPS
• CAR BREAKS TODAY • RELAXATION
3) THE YES-MAN 4) THE SLACKER
NOT IMPORTANT
• UNIMPORTANT PHONE • TOO MUCH TV
CALLS • ENDLESS PHONE CALLS
• INTERRUPTIONS • EXCESSIVE COMPUTER
• OTHER PEOPLE’S SMALL GAMES
PROBLEM • MALL ARATHONS
• PEER PRESSURE • TIME WASTER
QUANDRANT 1: The Procrastinator
A procrastinator is a person who
delays or puts things off — like
work, chores, or other actions —
that should be done in a timely
manner

done first and the last thing last.

people but not important to you-things
that you would like to say no but can’t
because you’re afraid you might offend
someone
The result of spending too much time in Q3
• Reputation of being a “pleaser”
• Lack of discipline
• Feeling like a doormat for
others to wipe their feet on
QUADRANTS 4 : The Slacker
• A person who avoids work or effort.
• Nothing is important or urgent to
them.
• It is the category too waste and
excess.
The result of living in Q4
• Lack of responsibility
• Guilt
• Flakiness
PICK UP A PLANNER
PLAN WEEKLY
• STEP 1: Identify your big rock
• Step 2: Block Out Time for Your
Big Rocks
• Step 3: Schedule Everything Else
Adapt Daily
• Weekly plan in place, adapt each
day as needed
THE OTHER HALF
The other half is learning to overcome fear and peer pressure.
The comfort
zone and the
courage zone
Overcoming yourself
• Never let your fears make your
decision
• Worry less about failing and more
about the chances we miss when we
don’t even try.
• Be strong in the hard moment
• Overcoming peer pressure
THE COMMON INGREDIENT FOR SUCCESS
• Put first things first take discipline
• All successful people have the habit of
doing the things failures don’t like to do
• Exercise your special human tool to get
things done
• Value each moment, especially your
adventurous teen years
Thank you!!
