Description of the procedure used
• Get operators aware of the on-going test.
• Zeroing the counters of EBI (Empty Bottle Inspector).
• Physical demarcation of sample bottles on the line.
• Stop the conveyors if necessary when there is a risk of test bottles
meeting other bottles.
• Take the counters at the end of the test.
Test objectives
• Determine new glass bottles quality before injection on the line
• Evaluate the impact of the machines on final chipped mouth
percentage at EBI

Conclusion
• 0.7% of chipped bottles identified by the EBI are due to 0.5%
before depalettizer.
• Packaging facility up to the EBI is responsible for 0.2% of
chipped mouth rejection.
A second test will be carried out to confirm the current one.
