Following works done during 1 month On-job training 7
L/C requisition/issue/return on different 132kV, 33kV feeders along with 40MVA Power transformer with proper
SOP.
Shutdown taken on 132kV and 33kV main bus section for red hot/hot spot maintenance work.
Shutdown on different feeders were taken for loose connection of pad clamps in CB and other alignment work on
SI & DI of both 132KV and 33kV side feeders as well as power transformers.
For vegetation clearance, tree trimming work was scheduled in periodic manner for unnecessary interruption of
power supply.
Due to oil leakage occurrence in power transformers, oil leakage arresting compound was also used to arrest the
oil leakage with proper SOP and L/C.
132 Kv Brajabiharipur-Bidanasi feeder and 33kV NLU feeder was charged. Before charging CT injection test was
conducted by E&MR team.
LCM test was conducted by E&MR test using LCA kit (Beacon Energy solution ltd.). 3 rd harmonic Resistive leakage
current came out to be less than 500µA (normal condition).
Trouble shooting work was also carried out for remote closing of transfer isolators and main bus section isolator
with the help of required drawing. Also ac supply failed to OLTC of one of the transformers which was then solved
using drawing.

Safety Norms followed in Grid S/S 8
(PLAN YOUR WORK and then WORK THE PLAN)
Safety meeting is conducted every month without fail from the date of Handing Over to O&M i.e. Jan,2023.
Safety is given first priority in all aspects of work at our substation.
PEP and HIRA talk before every maintenance program.
Time to time healthiness of PPE kits are checked for any defects, because safety starts with it.
Earth switch must be closed and temporary earthing should be done in line while doing any maintenance work on the
concerned feeder/line.
While doing any maintenance work on DI, reserve bus must be kept free which is to verified by all staffs.
Before taking shutdown on any feeder/line, NBFC certificate is being issued by the concerned authority.
Checklists are made before releasing T&P Material and after completion of work checklist verified thoroughly.
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to be followed for Line Clear Requisition/Issue/Receive/Return
Proper placement of fire fighting equipment in the switchyard such as fire extinguishers and sand buckets.
Monthly safety drills and Fire fighting mock drills are being conducted at site
