Adaptations in Human Evolution
Now the environment which is mostly stable was not at all stable when we talk million of years ago.There u
to be drastic change in temprature and to cop up with ever changing environment they had to migrate.Thi
migration could be inter-country or even inter-continental. Early humans, were not aware of agriculture,
hence they were obligate hunters and gatherers.
They had to walk for very long distance
Scientific studies suggest that an animal(human) which walks on two legs losses less energy than animals
which walks on four legs. Australopithecus before 7million years ago walked on four legs most of the
hypothesis suggest that we became bipedal so that we could walk for longer distance without wasting lot o
energy, Which is helpful in both migration and hunting.
Bipedalism also enables the eye to cover larger area which in turn again helpful in hunting. This is very
evident in the fossils found which adapted up to 3 to 4 million year BC.
NOTE : Characteristics of bipedalism developed way before the development of brain and tool.

Characteristics of common link
When we talk about the characteristics of common link we ar
only concerned about bipedalism we are also looking for othe
characteristics such as brain development, flattened face, etc
Here a simple question arise why are we even looking for bra
development.
1. Human evolution was not scattered instead it was accompan
by cultural evolution.
CULTURAL EVOLUTION: It refers to alldhe changing pattern
food to cloth. It also refers to the change in the geographical
location of staying to festivals they ccelebrated.
