Debate Expectations
Research Notes are thorough and have many facts to
support the affirmative as well as the negative
Rebuttal Notes identify key elements of opponents
presentation and work to identify counter points
Initial Presentation is a prepared speech that hits on
the major facts found in the research notes (and
potentially prepares for upcoming objections)
Rebuttal and conclusion address objections by
opponent and over come objections using facts and
opinion.
Respect for others is key in a debate. Interruptions or
insults will have a negative impact upon your grade.
