Reflection Journals

Session Objectives
• Content:
• Reflect on your PBL week experience
• Create a first draft of your reflection journal
• Include a creative activity in your journal
Task 1 - Reflect on Your
Experience
Instructions for Students:
• Think about what you have learned during the PBL
week.
• Consider the challenges you faced and how you
overcame them.
• Reflect on how you worked as a team and your
individual contributions.
Aim:
• By the end of this task, each student should have a
clear understanding of their personal and team
experiences.
Task 2 - Journal Structure
Instructions for Students:
• Your reflection journal should include the following sections:
• Introduction: A brief overview of the PBL week and your project.
• Learning Experiences: What you learned from the activities and the
project.
• Challenges and Solutions: The challenges you encountered and how
you solved them.
• Teamwork: How you and your team worked together.
• Personal Growth: How you have grown personally through this
experience.
Aim:
• By the end of this task, each student should have an outline for
their reflection journal.
Task 3 - Writing the First Draft
Instructions for Students:
• Use the outline you created to start writing the first
draft of your reflection journal – Before the event.
• Write in detail about your experiences, challenges, and
learnings while preparing for the event.
• Be honest and reflective in your writing.
Aim:
• By the end of this task, each student should have the
first draft of their reflection journal completed.
Task 4 - Creative Activity:
Reflection Artwork
Instructions for Students:
• Create a piece of artwork that represents your PBL week
experience.
• This can be a drawing, painting, collage, or any other form of
visual art.
• Include this artwork in your reflection journal with a brief
description of what it represents.
Aim:
• By the end of this task, each student should have a piece of
artwork that reflects their PBL week experience included in
their journal.
Task 5 - Peer Review and
Feedback
Instructions for Students:
• Pair up with a classmate and exchange reflection
journals.
• Read through your partner's journal and provide
constructive feedback.
• Focus on clarity, completeness, and depth of reflection.
Aim:
• By the end of this task, each student should have
received feedback on their first draft and have ideas for
improvement.
Finalizing Your Draft
Instructions for Students:
• Review the feedback from your peer.
• Make necessary revisions and improvements to your
reflection journal.
• Ensure that all sections are complete and your thoughts
are clearly expressed.
Aim:
• By the end of this task, each student should have a
revised and improved first draft of their reflection journal.
Creative Presentation of Your
Journal

• Think about how you will present your reflection journal
creatively.

make your journal visually appealing.

experience.
Aim:
• By the end of this task, each student should have a plan
