Communication-
Originated from Latin word Communis.
Involves a common idea of understanding
and any type of behaviour resulting in an
exchange of meaning.
Necessary in every Organisation.
Less communication low /impaired efficiency.
Communication–
A process of meaningful interaction among
persons in an organization
Result—meanings being perceived and
understanding effective among
such persons.
It is a Bridge of meaning on understanding
between people to cross the
misunderstanding/confusion separating them.
• It requires always Two persons.
• One sender and other is receiver.
• One person alone cannot communicate.
• The receiver can comply /complete the
communication act.

• passive,

Nonverbal communication
It is also called manual language,
It is the process of sending and receiving
messages without using words, either spoken
or written.
Similar to the way that italicizing emphasizes
written language, nonverbal behavior may
emphasize parts of a verbal message

These nonverbal communication types are --


facial expressions,
gestures,
paralinguistics (such as loudness or tone of voice),
body language,
proxemics or personal space,
eye gaze,
haptics (touch),
appearance, and
