IDEOLOGY

• Ideology is a systematic body of concepts,


beliefs, and values that guide the political,
social, and cultural direction of a society. It
forms the philosophical foundation of a nation
and provides a framework for understanding its
identity and purpose.
IMPORTANCE AND SIGNIFICANCE OF
IDEOLOGY

Ideology plays a vital role in:


• Uniting the people under a common vision.
• Defining the purpose and goals of a nation.
• Shaping national identity and character.
• Directing laws, policies, and educational
systems.
THE IDEOLOGY OF PAKISTAN
The ideology of Pakistan is rooted in the Two-
Nation Theory, which stated that Muslims and
Hindus in the Indian subcontinent were two
distinct nations. This difference was based on
religion, culture, language, and social practices.
This ideology emphasized:
•Islam as the basis of unity.
•A separate Muslim identity and way of life.
•Protection of religious, political, and cultural
rights.
•Establishment of a state where Islamic
principles could be practiced freely.

envisioned a separate homeland for Muslims in
northwestern India.
• Liaquat Ali Khan, as the right-hand man of Jinnah,

articulate the political and ideological basis for Pakistan.
