You will report to the Sr. Literacy Program Operations Officer and will be based at a project location in Thane District, Mira Road. **Roles & Responsibilities:** - Develop a thorough understanding of Room to Reads Literacy program design. - Manage, monitor, and support library program intervention in assigned project schools. - Provide support and conduct training for teachers. - Write monthly reports on program implementation to your supervisor. - Provide reflective feedback on program design and implementation, focusing on progress towards outcomes. - Conduct daily school visits, excluding official travel and leave days. - Support the initial setup of libraries, including organizing community meetings and coordinating deliveries. - Collaborate with schools to make minor improvements to library spaces. - Participate in teacher and librarian training related to literacy program implementation. - Observe and model good library management practices and system to designated librarians. - Coach teachers and librarians in library period and reading activities implementation. - Support Family & Community Engagement activities and coordinate training of Child Management Committees. - Provide progress updates to principals/headmasters and coach them on supporting teachers. - Collect monitoring data, analyze it, identify corrective actions, and incorporate them into school-level planning. - Ensure effective usage of Home as a learning space material through home and community visits. - Conduct Library reading camps during school holidays at school and community levels. - Attend review meetings and complete programmatic and financial reports on time. - Support donor visits through project demonstration and presentation. - Document best practices and lessons learned to share with the Literacy Program team. - Participate in any other activities required to fulfill the organization's objectives. **Qualification & Experience:** - Bachelor's degree in education/social sciences or equivalent. - Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, especially in development projects. - Teaching experience at the primary level preferred. - Knowledge about education and language development/literacy. - Strong written and oral communication skills. - Good interpersonal skills, team player, and basic project management and analytical skills.
