As a Drainage Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising all on-site activities related to drainage works. This includes overseeing tasks such as excavation, laying of pipes, construction of manholes, culverts, and other related structures. Your role will require hands-on experience in managing labor, materials, and ensuring that work is executed according to drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise daily site activities for stormwater, sewer, and drainage works. - Ensure proper excavation, pipe bedding, alignment, and jointing as per design. - Monitor construction of manholes, catch pits, and box culverts. - Check levels, slopes, and line of drains using levelling instruments or coordinate with surveyor. - Ensure materials used (pipes, concrete, reinforcement, etc.) are as per approved specifications. - Maintain daily work progress reports and labor attendance. - Coordinate with engineers for inspections and approvals. - Ensure safety compliance for workers and site activities. - Identify and report site issues, obstructions, or design mismatches promptly. - Supervise proper compaction and backfilling after laying of pipelines. Qualifications & Skills Required: - Diploma / ITI / Civil background preferred. - Minimum 4 years of experience in drainage/sewer/stormwater/utility projects. - Ability to read and understand civil drawings. - Practical knowledge of levels, slopes, and drainage layout. - Good communication and leadership skills to manage labor teams. - Basic knowledge of safety and quality standards.
