Job Description
As the Design Authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity, you will be responsible for completing assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Your key responsibilities will include: - Preparing Protection & Principle SLD, Schematics, Power supply scheme, Substation layouts plan & sections, and Standard technical specifications for major equipment based on technical specifications from end customers and inputs from the OU Engineering team. - Conducting R&D activities to improve work processes, comparing between AIS, GIS & PASS solutions, cost comparisons between different solutions, preparing Bill of Materials, RFQs, vetting vendor offers, estimating engineering hours, performing technical risk assessment, and evaluating opportunities. Your qualifications should include: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. - 10-12 years of experience in the field. - Knowledge of primary equipment such as circuit breakers, disconnectors, power transformers, etc., and understanding of HV grid power systems. - Proficiency in CAD design tools and engineering calculation tools, as well as knowledge of relevant international standards and substation tendering activities. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
