Job Description
As a Quality Manager for Distribution Transformers at Siemens Energy in Mumbai-Kalwa-TR, your role will involve coordinating and facilitating external audits for factory approval such as QMS ISO 9001/EN15085-2 Welding Audit/Customer Factory assessment. You will be responsible for documentation to ensure effective implementation of the Quality Management System and preparing and releasing in-process checklists by defining checks at various stages of manufacturing. Additionally, conducting in-process inspections on Traction Transformers, preparing quality control plans, and releasing certificates of conformity and configuration management lists will be part of your responsibilities. Your key responsibilities will include: - Coordinating and facilitating external audits for factory approval - Documenting for effective implementation of Quality Management System - Conducting in-process inspections on Traction Transformers - Preparing and releasing quality control plans and certificates of conformity - Managing nonconformance by conducting root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions - Leading vendor qualification by performing system and process audits - Performing first article inspection at supplier end for various commodities - Supporting in material localization and cost optimization projects - Coordinating with suppliers for nonconformance issues and timely closure of RCA & CAPA To qualify for this role, you should have: - 10-12 years of knowledge in the Transformer Field - Diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering - Certification as an auditor for QMS 9001, EMS 14001, OHS 45001 System Your technical skills should include: - Strong knowledge of Traction Transformer manufacturing process and related quality requirements - Knowledge of specific quality requirements of the railway industry - Familiarity with Quality Management Systems, EMS & OHS - Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office Key skills required for this role are: - Focus on safety aspects - Critical thinking and quick analysis - English fluency for business communication - Proactive mindset and approach - Intercultural sensitivity and ability to work in a multi-cultural team - Time management and prioritization skills Siemens Energy offers a challenging role where you can contribute to shaping the future of energy systems.
