Job Description
As a Process and Customer Quality professional (QMPP) at Schaeffler India Ltd (formerly Vitesco Technologies) in Pune, Talegaon Plant, your role is crucial in ensuring that products meet internal specifications and customer expectations. Job Description
As a highly skilled and experienced SMT Quality Engineer, you will be joining the dynamic team at Schaeffler India Ltd (formerly Vitesco Technologies) in Pune, Talegaon Plant. Your role is crucial in ensuring that the products meet internal specifications and customer expectations in the electronics manufacturing industry. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead quality assurance across SMT processes including stencil printing, pick-and-place, reflow soldering, wave soldering, selective soldering, AOI, SPI, ICT, and X-ray inspection. - Develop and optimize process parameters for solder paste, reflow profiles, and component placement to ensure high yield and reliability. - Lead systematic problem solving in SMT, including advanced defect analysis for internal processes and customer rejections. - Plan and execute manufacturing quality audits such as process audit, product audit, layered process audit, and system audit. - Lead product-process change management activities. - Utilize statistical tools (SPC, MSA, DOE) for process control. - Drive adherence of systems in processes such as Safe Launch activities, Change Management, control plan, PPAP, Reverse-PFMEA, Product Requalification, Manufacturing Process Control, Jidoka, Deviation management, Production Restart, and Quality standards. - Define the handling of non-confirming parts regularly and define a path for each conformance/non-conformance/blocking of parts. - Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize manufacturing processes. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics with 12+ years of experience. - Minimum 12-14 years of experience in the Automotive industry in SMT process Quality. - Expert-level knowledge of SMT equipment and proficiency in SMT processes. - Certifications such as IPC-A-610, quality control methodologies, and tools like SPC, FMEA, and Six Sigma. - Hands-on experience with MES, SAP.
