Job Description
As a Commercial Executive at Gradiant India Private Limited in Chennai, India, your role will involve managing billing, order processing, and contract administration independently across the contract lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with company policies, overseeing receivables, supporting risk registers, and handling claims and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: - Support financial modelling, revenue forecasting, and cashflow planning for bids. - Contribute to offer release approvals by ensuring compliance with authorization matrix. - Assist in reviewing draft contracts for commercial and financial risks. - Create new projects and sales orders in SAP based on approved costing/offer release documents. - Maintain estimated project completion date in SAP. - Monitor receivables and coordinate with Finance and Sales for timely collection. - Track project-level cashflow and update management reports. - Administer bonds, insurances, and other contract-related documentation. - Support preparation and submission of claims, including Extensions of Time (EOT) and Variations. - Resolve billing disputes and order discrepancies with Sales, Finance, and Project teams. - Maintain risk/trend registers for commercial exposures (pricing, credit, contractual). - Support budget tracking, EAC, and variance analysis with Project Managers. - Implement robust cost control mechanisms to monitor project expenditures, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions. - Prepare commercial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management. - Maintain organized repositories of contracts, invoices, and commercial records for audits. Qualification, Skills & Experience: - Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field is preferred. - Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA or equivalent), strong knowledge of billing, taxation (GST, VAT), and revenue recognition, familiarity with project delivery models (EPC, O&M; exposure to BOT/DBOO is advantageous), strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. - Experience: 3-7 years of progressive experience in technical, commercial, sales, or project management roles - preferably within the industrial or municipal water/wastewater sector. - Certificate: Relevant coursework or certifications in commercial/project management, contracts, or SAP are preferred.,
