Job Description
As a Software Developer at Emerson, you will be responsible for developing applications for Ovation Green SCADA, a specialized system designed for renewable energy assets. Joining a global development team, you will have the opportunity to work on enhancing control over energy sites and empowering users with a comprehensive range of features and services. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop new applications, fix bugs, and expand features in existing applications. - Backend software design and development. - Deliver solutions that meet collaborator needs and customer expectations. - Provide timely information across the organization. - Design and review technical specifications and architecture. - Develop multi-layer, cross-platform applications using design patterns. **Qualifications Required:** - Commercial experience with core Java 5+ and strong understanding of object-oriented programming. - Good knowledge of Java ecosystem, including containers, class loaders, data structures, streams, and SQL. - Familiarity with concurrency in Java, JVM, client-side and server-side architectures, and build tools like Ant and Maven. - Experience with Microsoft development tools, software design principles, and standard methodologies. - Proficiency in fixing and debugging software, manual unit testing, and unit/integration testing. - Experience with full-lifecycle projects and formal software development methodologies. - Ability to work within a diverse environment with remote teams. - Design and implementation of RESTful APIs integration. - Solid understanding of Communication Protocol development like OPC UA, Modbus, TCP/IP, DNP3. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science or related field. - 4-7 years of proven experience with at least 3 years in Software development. - Experience with Web sockets, Tomcat servlet engine, SQL Server, Apache Cassandra, PostgreSQL database, and Junit tests. - Networking knowledge and familiarity with SCADA systems. - Basic knowledge of renewable assets and experience with Agile methodologies. Reporting to the Manager, Colleague Insights, you will manage integrations, reporting, and support for Oracle HCM Cloud and boundary systems. Your expertise will contribute to building new integrations and reports, supporting existing ones, and collaborating with HR operations, product, and Technology engineering teams to maximize the potential of HR systems. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop Reports and Analytics using Oracle HCM Cloud Reporting tools such as BI Publisher, SQL, HCM Extract, OTBI, Tableau, and Dashboards. - Manage Colleague Data Servicing for CEG & Non CEG Business units. - Support end-to-end operations for HCM Data Report Intake process and Governance using Oracle HCM. - Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to Oracle HCM Cloud Reports. - Train and develop team members and other business units on available tools. - Drive efficiencies by focusing on Automation and eliminating manual dependencies. - Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve organizational goals. - Develop tools/Reports within HCM for other CEG teams to enable effective access to the HCM data. - Stay updated with the latest Oracle HCM Cloud releases, updates, and features. - Identify operational and systems issues, analyze opportunities, and provide effective solutions. - Collaborate with other CEG teams, Technology, and partners to support roadmaps and drive process improvements with Oracle HCM products. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/B.Tech/ BCA or other Technical Degrees. - 2-4 years of experience in Reports & Analytics Industry with knowledge of Oracle SQL, BIP, OTBI Reporting, and related programming skills. - Proficiency in writing SQL queries and functions based on business requirements. - Strong knowledge of report templates such as Excel Template, RTF template. - Hands-on familiarity with Oracle HCM Cloud Tools (BI Publisher, SQL, HCM Extracts, OTBI) and exposure to specific modules. - Experience with HCM Data Loaders, Load error Analysis, Data Validation, Integrations, and Fast Formula is preferred. - Excellent communication, planning, organizational skills with the ability to manage inter-dependencies and execute under strict timelines. - Proactive learner with the ability to quickly grasp new concepts with minimal supervision.
