Job Description
Role Overview: In this role, you will be responsible for key account management and taking ownership of individual booking/target. You will work towards achieving budgets for a given year by targeting customers and install base with various solution offerings. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the region team, channels/distributors, industry verticals, and lifecycle services. Your role will also involve developing new ESPs and OEMs for incremental growth, driving business development and market engagement, and building a funnel around uncovered markets and geographies. Job Description
As a Senior Staff Engineer in the System Test & Validation team at Bloom Energy, you will play a crucial role in driving the design, development, and execution of advanced test systems and validation strategies for Balance of Plant (BOP) components and subsystems. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading cross-functional initiatives to ensure product reliability, performance, and compliance with system-level requirements in simulated operational environments. - Strategically developing test systems by designing scalable, modular test fixtures and infrastructure for validating BOP/BOS components under simulated environmental conditions. - Providing technical leadership by guiding the team in evaluating theoretical designs, championing innovation in test methodologies, and leading automation efforts. - Defining robust test procedures for qualification, characterization, and reliability testing of mechanical, electromechanical systems, and Industrial Instruments/sensors. - Reviewing critical documentation and ensuring adherence to engineering best practices and internal quality standards. - Offering technical oversight on pipe sizing, flow and pressure drop calculations, stress analysis, and material/component selection for test systems and product subsystems. - Collaborating with design, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams to drive design changes, prototyping, localization, and cost optimization initiatives. - Leading risk management activities, root cause analysis for critical failures, and implementing corrective actions and design improvements. - Establishing calibration and preventive maintenance programs for lab instrumentation, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, SOPs, and audit requirements. - Mentoring junior engineers and technicians to foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and process discipline. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor or master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation, or Systems Engineering. - 10+ years of experience in test engineering, product validation, or systems integration, preferably in energy, automotive, or industrial domains. - Strong expertise in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, instrumentation, and control systems. - Experience with various testing methodologies (Functional, Performance, Reliability, regression, etc.). - Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver detailed testing reports to support critical business decision-making. - Proficiency in tools such as LabVIEW, MATLAB, and data acquisition systems. - Excellent analytical, communication, and team management skills.
