Job Description
    As an Accounts Assistant, your role will involve monitoring daily communications, answering queries, preparing statutory accounts, and working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers, and journals. You will be responsible for recording and filing cash transactions, controlling credit, chasing debt, processing invoices, and filing expenses. Additionally, you will need to process expense requests for the accountant to approve, conduct bank reconciliations, and maintain procedural documentation. Your duties will also include liaising with third-party providers, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor daily communications and answer queries - Prepare statutory accounts - Work with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers, and journals - Record and file cash transactions - Control credit and chase debt - Process invoices and file expenses - Process expense requests for accountant approval - Conduct bank reconciliations - Maintain procedural documentation - Liaise with third-party providers, clients, and suppliers Qualifications Required: - Degree in accounting, business, or finance (advantageous but not mandatory) - Specialist training in AAT or Level 5 and Level 6 Business Administration, bookkeeping, or finance beneficial - Proficiency in Tally software is a must This is a full-time position with benefits including paid time off, yearly bonus, and a day shift schedule.
