IMS Engineer

Job Description

As an experienced candidate in VoIP/IMS core entities such as P/I/S-CSCF, HSS, and SLF, with a rich understanding of VoLTE, you will be expected to demonstrate extensive knowledge and proficiency in SIP call processing and supplementary services. Your expertise should also encompass a deep understanding of telecom protocols and technologies like SIP, SDP, H.248, MGCP, and DIAMETER.

In addition to your technical skills, you should possess a great conceptual understanding of IMS evolution and trends, including IMS subsystems, functionalities, and IMS SIP services call flows. Your experience in TLS, TCP, IPSEC, and IP protocols will be valuable in this role.

Moreover, familiarity with integrating and working with various components of a distributed next-generation IP-based architecture, such as soft switches, gateways, SIP proxies, route engines, IP media servers, and IP phones/IADs, will be advantageous. Knowledge of IMS interworking entities and interfaces, including BGCF, MGCF, MRFC, MRFP, AGW, IBCF, and TrGW, is desirable.

Furthermore, you should have expertise in session border controllers, NAT, firewalls, authentication encryption, L2 layer switches (routers/switches), as well as media handling, transcoding, call modeling CS, SMS, and MMS. Good analytical and log debugging skills, with scripting knowledge as a value-added skill, will be beneficial for this role.

Additionally, familiarity with Class4/5 switches and a strong exposure to Unix/Linux operating systems are expected. Your key skills should include IMS, VoIP, SIP PBX, and NGN.
