Job Description

Role Overview:
As a Materials Supervisor at Ekante Bliss, Tirupati - IHCL SeleQtions, your role involves overseeing the hotel procurement process to ensure the best quality products at competitive rates while adhering to budget constraints and pre-laid processes. Your contribution to the Materials Department will be crucial in maximizing profitability and achieving desired financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate products based on price and quality
- Conduct periodic vendor evaluations
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers for timely product delivery
- Monitor market rates regularly
- Coordinate with all user departments
- Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and adherence to specifications
- Ensure contracts are followed as per established processes
- Communicate safety requirements to vendors
- Conduct regular site visits
- Follow Materials Manual for all requirements without deviation
- Implement cost-saving plans
- Utilize E-procurement tools as per unit plan
- Tackle user requests promptly
- Handle requisitions and raise purchase orders
- Prepare reports for further analysis
- Identify new vendors offering better prices and substitute products
- Assist in reviewing audit findings and ensure compliance with safety and TPAM guidelines
- Prepare internal audit checklists as per IHCL Safety Guidelines
- Adhere to all departmental legal compliances
- Participate in regular training sessions and maintain high morale in the department
- Actively participate in the STARS Program for recognition
- Assist in identifying risks and develop Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
- Adhere to safety roles and responsibilities as defined by the hotel
- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors

Qualifications Required:
- Graduation in any discipline
- 3-4 years of experience in the hospitality industry
- Fluency in English, Hindi, and preferably the Regional dialect
