SAP ABAP Consultant

Job Description

As an SAP ABAP Consultant, you will be independently responsible for delivering RICEF-based technical solutions in an onsite consulting role. The primary focus of this position is on Core ABAP development (RICEF objects - Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows). Experience in advanced ABAP topics such as CDS Views, RAP, Fiori, and UI5 is highly desirable as an additional advantage. You will participate in design/code reviews and interact closely with business stakeholders.

- Deliver high-quality RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) independently.
- Collaborate with business/functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and functional QA.
- Support SIT, UAT, and production deployment activities.
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation.
- Work closely with testing teams to ensure defect-free delivery.

Must-Have Skills:
- Hands-on experience with S/4HANA / ECC ABAP development.
- Strong expertise in Core ABAP (RICEF) objects including enhancements, Data Dictionary, Smart Forms, BAPIs, BADIs, and workflows.
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:
- Prior client-facing experience and strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of advanced ABAP topics such as CDS Views, RAP, Fiori/UI5, OData services, AMDP, and Eclipse/BAS.
- Exposure to SAP modules such as SD, MM, PP, QM, FI, CO; knowledge of EWM, DMS, or PS is a plus.
- SAP ABAP on S/4HANA Certification.,
