Job Description

As an Editorial Editor at The Times of India, you will play a vital role in shaping the reader experience by editing articles, selecting photos, providing story ideas, headlines, and captions, as well as editing copies. Your responsibilities will include:

- Editing articles and selecting photos to ensure a comprehensive and accurate representation of news stories.
- Collaborating with reporters and photographers to ensure no important stories are missed and readers receive a correct picture of events.
- Creating visually pleasing pages with catchy headlines, smart taglines, informative captions, and attractive graphics.
- Reviewing, editing, and rewriting stories to produce error-free and informative pages.
- Scanning agencies for relevant stories not covered by reporters to maintain a competitive edge.

To excel in this role, you are required to have:
- A Graduation degree in any discipline, preferably in English, along with a degree or diploma in journalism/mass communication.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in the field.
- Strong language skills in written and spoken English.
- A good news sense.
- Tech-savvy abilities to adapt to new software tools.
