Hi, I'm Akash!
I'm a
"It is never too late to be what you might have been" - Famously said by George Eliot, I tend to wrap my personality and routine around those words.
Team Leader, Public Speaker, Problem Solver
Throughout my academic journey, I've gained extensive experience as a DevOps Engineer, MLOps Engineer and Backend Developer with a strong focus on Golang. I currently handle all things related to DevOps and Infra at FinalroundAI, and work as a DevOps and MLOps Engineer at Sabi. I have previously worked as a DevOps Engineer at Aspora and Embeddings Co. where I worked with AWS, Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, and as a Backend Engineer at CloudSek with my work primarily focusing on Golang and microservices. I'm a Kubestronaut, holding all 5 CNCF Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS, KCNA and KCSA) and a big believer in all things Kubernetes.
I am active within the Open Source community. I run my own open source community called Point Blank, organize the Cloud and DevOps devroom at IndiaFOSS, and was selected for Google Summer of Code 2024 with Keploy and the Linux Foundation Mentorship 2025 with LitmusChaos.
I was the team leader for Hackglobal Hackathon 2024 which happened in Singapore. I have also participated and won in 7 other hackathons, winning and getting podium finishes all through. I regularly volunteer as a mentor and judge for various hackathons as well. I also attended ACM Winter School 2024 on Data Structures and Algorithms for Strings, with Applications to Search Engines and Computational Biology.
I have also actively worked as a teacher, trainer and international speaker, both professionally at SwipeGen and CodingZen, and during club meetings as the Team Lead at Point Blank, since I genuinely enjoy talking about tech and sharing my knowledge with peers and juniors alike. I recently delivered my first international talk at FOSSASIA Summit 2026 in Bangkok on reducing AWS Glue bills by 25x using Apache Airflow.
When I'm not tinkering with my laptop, you'll find me with a mic in my hand emceeing on stage or winning Public Speaking Events across India.

Delivered my first international talk alongside Pratik Singh on how we slashed AWS Glue costs from $10,000/month to $400/month across 80 ETL pipelines - a 96% cost reduction - by migrating to Apache Airflow on EKS. Walked the audience through the migration runbook, connector strategy, and how Airflow's flexibility helps teams escape vendor lock-in.
SWITCH Singapore
Led the pitch and product demo for LUMi, an AI Concierge solution focused on improving customer satisfaction, at SWITCH held at Marina Bay Sands. Presented to a global audience of investors and innovators as part of the Hackglobal Finals journey.
Point Blank Showcase
Spoke in front of 2000+ students about Point Blank - the open source community I lead - covering our culture of technical excellence, how we mentor juniors, the projects we've built together, and why student-run communities matter for the Indian developer ecosystem.
Noether Week 2026 - IEEE Computer Society PES University
Ran a hands-on workshop with co-speaker Dhruv Puri covering the building blocks every modern engineer needs: Linux fundamentals, Git workflows, version control strategies, CI/CD pipelines, containerization with Docker, cloud-native infrastructure, and DevOps culture. Emphasized first-principles problem-solving over AI-driven coding for foundational skills.

As the Team Lead at PointBlank, I was an integral part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team focused on competitive programming and innovation. Our team focused on renowned programming competitions like ACM ICPC and CodeChef Snackdown, honing my problem-solving abilities and algorithmic thinking. Our dedication and interest in Google Summer of Code underscored my commitment to open source and innovation, while my teamwork and communication skills were showcased through collaboration on team projects and contributions to the club's social media efforts. Our club worked towards submitting projects for Smart India Hackathon, which helped me and my team fine tune our project implementation. This experience not only enriched my technical skills but also instilled in me a passion for continuous learning and leadership in the ever-evolving tech landscape.
An inspiring emcee team dedicated to moving crowds where I contributed my passion for hosting and organizing inter and intra college events and fests. Collaborating with this dynamic group allowed me to refine my communication and event management skills, while also fostering a sense of creativity and teamwork while elevating my love for public speaking.
As an active member of the Literary Society at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, I have immersed myself in a vibrant environment of public speaking engagements, debates, literary contests, and event organization. I not only honed my oratory and critical thinking skills but also actively contributed to team practice sessions and event coordination. Additionally, I represented my college by competing in diverse competitive events and festivals across Bangalore, solidifying my passion for literature and communication in an academic setting.
