- 18. Generalities: 2.3 Mpeople live in Lorraine. Lorraine belonged to Germany from 1871 to 1918, so German culture is always present. It is a plateau in the west of the region and there are small mountains in the east. Metz is the capital of this region.

- 43. Information about schoolin France. My school is in Metz, there are 1.500 students in it. High school (called “lycee” in French) is just 10 th grade to 12 th grade. You are always with the same people in all the different classes. (we call the “classe” the people with who you are) We don’t have the same classes every day but every week.

- 45. Information about schoolin France. Schedules are strange (even stupid sometimes…) We often finish school at 5 or 6’o clock. You can’t choose your classes, but when you are in 11 th grade, you have to choose between literature career, business career or scientific career.

- 47. Information about schoolin France. School is a lot harder, it takes more time, you have more homework and it’s hard to have good grades. Teachers are stricter (some even are evil or not human…) We don’t have any clubs or sports teams in school (it would be so much fun…)

Cars are smaller in Europe. Social system is a lot different, we pay more taxes, but health access is almost free. For example, braces are free in France. If you don’t work, you always earn 550 dollars by month.

In France, no teenagers go to church because there are no entertaining activities for them. Roads are a lot larger and straighter than in France. There are no Mexican people but there are Arab people in France.
