Hi, I go by algol_ardhanari on Archive Of Our Own, and I am writing a gay, furry, route-driven, supernatural/psychological horror and romance/interpersonal drama/thriller story called Nihil. Our protagonist, a white-tailed deer named James Mason, returns to his sleepy hometown - the town of New Blackden, in Ontario, Canada - after finishing his art degree, to stay for a while as he saves up money to move out. There, he has to choose to live with one of four of his friends there: Joshua Roderick, the stoic and distant team dad white lion; Michael Kim, the brash and hot-headed red fox; Tyler Moore, the shy and gentle nerdy black bear; or Brett Taylor, the sporty and dopey supportive red salamander. When he gets to the town, however, he starts seeing and hearing things that can't really be there, like voices in his head and ghost images of his friends, along with distortions in space. What's more, it seems things have gotten worse for everyone in his absence. Relations in the group are tense, it's fraying at the edges, and it seems like things are going to take a turn for the worse. Can James figure out what his friends' problems are? Can he survive the week? Can he come out on the other side a stronger person, or will the town and its secrets eat him alive? And, most importantly... what secrets does he hide? God sleeps beneath the waves. The story is a text-based narrative published on Archive Of Our Own - an entirely original work. It consists of a prequel, a prologue, four routes, four post-route collections of stories, and a collection of side stories and alternate endings. Whenever relevant, a side story or branching path is linked at the end of a chapter, to simulate the feel of a CYOA-like narrative. Currently, one route is finished. At present I have no plans to lock anything behind Patreon, content-wise - this profile exists in case you wish to support my creative endeavors, out of the goodness of your heart, as an author living in a third world economy.
