- Collaborative Integrated Research Environment
CIRE turns PDFs into a navigable research surface. Hover a keyword to surface a dictionary definition, an in-context paper definition, and a graph of where that concept appears across the corpus. Ontology selection drives a Where-Are-We diagram via clickable Mermaid links to Wikipedia. Built as a Next.js 15 PWA with PDF.js overlay engineering and multi-modal knowledge-graph UI.
cire-mobile.vercel.app - Macrofluidics: prompt-to-process architecture
Macrofluidics translates a prompt into a deployable process architecture. A workshop of 12 specialist agents (Chemist, FluidDynamicModeler, PressureVesselEngineer, and nine more) coordinates flowsheets, ring-of-unit-process diagrams, and the first 101 technical documents that anchor a real chemical-plant build. Describe a chemistry; get the engineering package.
- Lanternade: illuminated software development surface
Lanternade is a Turborepo monorepo of Next.js apps whose build pipeline outgrew standard Vercel + Turbo observability. Cache busts were unpredictable, phase durations opaque, and machine-tier variance untracked. The response was @lanternade/build-intel: a read-only structured-insight layer that parses Vercel logs, reconstructs build phases, probes remote cache, and maintains a prediction registry across 288+ builds. The package routes all build-measurement signal for 28 consumers across the monorepo without ever driving a build.
lanternade.com - Keelstat: deployment & onboarding telemetry
Keelstat is a Lanternade sub-app that surfaces every shipped change as a tracked log entry and orchestrates four production-observability pillars: verbose logging, auto-built OTTL transforms, traditional agent collection, and deployment soundings. A Keelstat agent ties the pillars together, keeping the system's navigational state legible from a single hull-status keel-readout. The design language (cyanotype-OBS palette, kb.signal token map, hull-blueprint chrome) is purpose-built to encode severity, route, and telemetry state at a glance.
keelstat.com - Holdfast Network: regional aquaculture synthesis & deployment
Holdfast Network is a full-stack coordination platform for multi-regional offshore aquaculture deployment, mapping 6 US coastal programs, 24+ research and industry partners, and an 8-layer program ontology onto a unified geographic canvas. The platform surfaces a 14-step, 10-year federal permitting roadmap (spanning USACE, EPA, NOAA, and CZMA jurisdictions) as a navigable graph, turning complex multi-stakeholder tenure processes into a transferable planning infrastructure.
holdfastnet.pages.dev - OTTL-Vis: visual builder for OpenTelemetry transformation pipelines
OTTL-Vis is a three-pane visual editor for OpenTelemetry's transformation language: input trace on the left, a typed-transform stack (Redact, Enrich, Normalize, Modify, Filter) in the middle, and a live output diff on the right. A schema-detection layer scans the input shape and proposes operations; a compliance dashboard scores PII redaction and API-key handling in real time. The editor round-trips between the visual pipeline and exportable OTTL DSL + collector config.
ottl-vis.vercel.app - Guildtronics: à la carte business-formation tooling
Guildtronics is a suite of 22 business-formation and management tools built to fit together à la carte, picked up as needed, with incentive alignment baked in for early-stage projects. The dashboard lives inside a procedural R3F courtyard where each module rises as its own tower, projecting its ecosystem SVG as a line relief. Designed to make equitable co-formation the path of least resistance for new ventures.
- Heart and Stem: multi-sided flower-bouquet marketplace
Heart & Stem is a two-sided flower-bouquet marketplace where buyers answer three free-text questions about their partner and an AI inference layer converts those feelings into a personalized romantic note and arrangement recommendation. Florists manage SKUs and orders through a vendor dashboard; buyers complete purchase via Stripe Checkout with US delivery.
Patrick Astarita
I am Patrick Astarita I'm an inventor, scientist, engineer, designer, developer, & sculptor.
I've founded 3.5 companies first: Astarita Research, Inc. where I developed 25 consumer hardware product inventions, as well as novel battery technology where all of the constituents are manufactured from seaweed, which became the basis for Mantafarm Inc.
After building a shop & small factory to realize the production of products from Astarita Research, I started Factorita Industries, Inc. where we've since built four innovative manufacturing operations for clients, as well as provided Design Engineering, Design for Manufacturing and Manufacturing Execution services for about a dozen customers.
Building on my experience serving the biomedical & biotechnology customers, In 2022, I spun up Combine Biomanufacturing (dba Factorita Industries, Inc.) here we focused translating biotechnology research into original manufacturing equipment for a future where we grow everything.
In 2024, I moved to New York City where I joined Fractal Tech to build a central node & hub for the technology community in Williamsburg.
In spring of 2025, I began exploring the space between pneumatic structures and programmatic architecture, resulting in the recent launch of Pneumatter.
Following on from that, the work since has gone into Lanternade, a collection of codebase-archaeology tools and a meta-harness for developer- and agentic-experience telemetry, monitoring, and tracking, built to give teams traceability and AI-first collaborative development that scales. The contribution helix above is itself a port of one of its studio surfaces.
